Dionysus brought the wine, entrusted it to kings and horticulturists, disseminated it among the peoples, so that they cultivated the vine and knew that sweetness and the thrill. It soon became clear that various arts were needed to produce wine, to taste its flavor, to savor its effects in the mind.
